I am unabashedly, unironically excited whenever I’m preparing to go to a UCB show, which is not something I can say about many things. Tonight, at Let’s Do This! my excitement was justified twice over when the performers handed out popsicles and the co-host (Tumblr’s own Dave Horwitz) passed out mix CDs.
Almost everything in Los Angeles costs an arm and a leg, but then you’re reminded that, once in a very great while, $5 will get you a great show, a sweet treat, and an awesome present. Who could ask for anything more?
that you should come to my UCB graduation show tomorrow at 1:30pm if you’re free and in LA! Get all the info here if you’re interested.
Let me know if any of you are coming. I’ll say hi/save a place in line/save a seat for you. I’m nice like that.
The real deal. State Street, Chicago.Yep, few blocks away from were I lived for two years. Miss you, Chicago.
Also a few blocks away from my old apartments. Rumors ran rampant about this place (many of them involving their use of unpaid/homeless labor), and its floors were stickier than a sidewalk covered in freshly chewed gum, but this was Chicago, man, and it was good.
